Oven Baked BBQ Ribs




INGREDIENTS:

  • 1.5kg pork ribs

    Marinade
  • 1/2 cups tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chilli*
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 3 tablespoons coconut aminos**
  • 1 1/2 cloves diced garlic
  • juice of 1 x lime


METHOD:

  1. Cut the rack of ribs into individual ribs and place into a large pot of boiling water.
  2. Cook on medium-low heat for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 180 degrees and combine all marinade together in a small bowl.
  4. Drain ribs from pot and place onto a lined baking tray.
  5. Fully coat ribs with marinade and cover with foil.
  6. Cook for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove foil from tray and cook for another 10 minutes, until lightly charred.
  8. Best served while still hot.





NOTES:

* I have used homemade sweet chilli sauce, but you can use whatever you have.
** Tamari or soy sauce can be used in place of the coconut aminos (although soy sauce will add gluten to meal)
