Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 Lamb Shanks
  • 2 Tblspn ground Turmeric
  • 1 Leek (white part only, finely chopped)
  • 2 Cloves Garlic (finely diced)
  • 2 tsp Himalayan Salt
  • 300ml Bone Broth/Filtered Water
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Aminos
  • 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Cracked Pepper to taste

METHOD:

  1. Measure out liquids and seasonings and spices into a jar and mix together.
  2. Place all ingredients into a slow cooker.
  3. Cook on low/medium heat for 8-10 hours or high for 4-6 hours. You really can’t overcook these at all, so if you go over in time they will still be ok!!
  4. Serve with a side of cooked vegetables, veggie mash or rice.
