Slow-Cooked Braised Beef

Braised Beef

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5kg Blade Steak (organic if possible)
  • 1 Tbl Ground Paprika
  • 1 Tbl Dried Mixed Herbs
  • 1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Ground Coriander
  • 3 Tbls Coconut Aminos or Tamari (gluten free soy sauce)
  • 2 x Carrot (finely chopped)
  • 1 x stick Celery (finely diced)
  • 1 x clove Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 1/2 Tbl Himilayan Salt
  • Cracked Pepper to taste
  • Water to cover 1/3 to 1/2 Blade Steak

METHOD

  1. Place all ingredients into a slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours
  2. Reduce heat to medium for 3 hours
  3. Shred beef (I find using forks to do this the easiest).  Cook for a further 30 mins to 1 hour.
  4. Serve with a salad or lettuce wraps with chopped cucumber, grated carrot and tomato as a taco.
