Chocolate Sauce

Happy Valentine’s Day!! Make your someone special something special! It will take you less than a minute to do. This chocolate sauce can be used as a dip for berries and fruits or added on top of your favourite ice cream. It won’t set hard, it is more like a fudgy sauce. It is vegan friendly and contains healthy fats and the goodness of raw cacao powder. If you don’t have these ingredients, it’s a very versatile recipe see the easy swaps in the notes below.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 tablespoons coconut butter
  • 3 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • pinch of salt

Chocolate Sauce

METHOD:

  1. Place all ingredients into a bowl or jar and mix until well combined with a fork.
  2. Use straight away or place in the pantry covered until needed.

NOTES:
* Raw honey can be substituted easily with maple syrup or any of your favourite liquid sweeteners.
** Not a fan of coconut butter, this can be easily swapped with tahini or your preferred nut butter (if you can tolerate)
*** If you are making this in winter and your coconut butter has a some hardened oil in it, simply add a tablespoon of boiling water when mixing together to melt it.
