Banana Pop

I love making our own pops, icecream sticks, popsicles – whatever it is you’d like to call them. The combinations are endless and I love that you know exactly what it is that you are eating. With just a few simple ingredients these are so easy to make the only issue is waiting for them to set!!

INGREDIENTS:

2 x large ripe bananas

1 x tablespoon tahini (*see notes)

2 x tablespoons raw honey

1 x teaspoon vanilla

1 x can coconut cream (270mls)

pinch of salt

Banana Pop

METHOD:

  1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour into ice-block moulds.
  3. Pop into the freezer for 8 hours (although I find overnight works best).
  4. To remove from moulds, place in warm water for a few seconds until the the pop can be easily removed.
  5. Optional extra – drizzle with some homemade chocolate ice magic, if you are after a crispy chocolate coating.

NOTES:

* the tahini can be swapped for any kind of nut butter if you don’t have any allergies or intolerances to worry about.
** if you need to use the ice-block moulds to make some more pops, once they are frozen take the pops out and place them onto some baking paper into an airtight container and store them in the freezer until your ready for them.
