Stewed Apples
Gluten, Grains, Dairy, Egg and Nut Free

Stewed apples quick easy and delicious. Ready in 10 minutes, eat them warm, cold, as a filling for an easy apple crumble, with ice-cream, porridge, overnight oats, chia pudding and so much more!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3-4 medium sized apples (peeled and diced into 1.5cm)
- 3 x tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1 x teaspoon vanilla
- 1½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- juice ½ lemon
- 2 tablespoon water
- pinch of salt
METHOD:
- In a medium sized saucepan place all ingredients and bring to a simmer.
- With the lid on, bring heat to med-low for 5-10 minutes until soft.
- Depending on the dryness of the apples, you may need to add another tablespoon of water.
- Eat straight away or store in airtight container or jar once cooled.



NOTES:
* Use any kind of firm, crisp apples.
** Apple stew can be frozen once cooled.
