Plum Jam

Gluten, Dairy, Egg, Nut and Refined Sugar Free

Makes 2 x 250g Jars

Plum Jam

  • 600g Plums
  • 160g Maple Syrup
  • 1 T Natural Vanilla Extract
  • 30g fresh Lemon Juice

Thermomix Method:

  1. Rinse plums and cut in half to remove stones (see notes)
  2. Add all ingredients to the thermomix bowl cook Speed 2/Varoma/16 minutes with the basket on top to avoid splatting.
  3. Cook Speed 2/100/25minutes, again with the basket on
  4. In the meantime, clean and sterilize 2, 250ml jars
  5. Blend jam – slowly turning the dial up to speed 9 for 30 seconds/speed 9

Notes:  I have found the best way to cut the stone out of stone fruit is like an avocado, cut around the middle of the fruit and twist to open.  Then cut the remaining half with the stone still left in there in half and twist again – very quick and easy with all the fruit coming off.
