Homemade Mini-Pork Sausages
Grain, Gluten, Dairy, Egg and Nut Free
INGREDIENTS:
- 500g Pork Mince (See notes)
- 500g Beef Mince
- 2 Carrots (grated)
- 1 1/2 tsp Ground Paprika
- 1 tsp Dried Mixed Herbs
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/3 tsp Ground Chilli (to taste or omit)
- Freshly ground Himalayan Salt and Cracked Pepper
METHOD:
- Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix with hands until well combined – get the kids involved making their own food!
- Roll mixture into a small sausage shape about 7 cm long.
- Place into a container and refrigerate for 1 hour (or longer).
- Cook sausages on BBQ or in frying pan on a medium heat, turning to cook evenly.
- Eat as a finger food with sauce of choice or even guacamole, or serve as a meal with salad or vegetables (see notes)
NOTES:
Source your mince from a quality butcher with nothing added to your meat and go organic and grass fed when you can.
These are great eaten hot, but are also great for school lunchbox added with a salad.
