Healthy Chocolate Mousse
Gluten, Grain, Dairy, Egg, Nut and Refined Sugar Free

If you have never tried the avocado -cacao combination please do!! You really can’t taste the avocado, it is this light, fluffy and airy mouthful of chocolate goodness!! Lets talk for a moment about good fats – avocados are full of them – the main fatty acid is a monounsaturated fat is called oleic acid (like in olive oil). Avocados are also extremely high in potassium (it contains about 40% more than the beloved banana), contain a large amount of fibre as well as is great for lowering bad cholesterol and increasing the good cholesterol. The other main ingredient is cacao, it benefits your body by decreasing inflammation, improving heart and brain health, blood sugar control as well as helping with healthy teeth and skin. So although this mousse tastes like a treat it is in fact really healthy for you!!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 Ripe Avocados
- 30g Cacao Powder
- 60g Raw Honey/Coconut Syrup/Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- pinch of salt
METHOD:
- Place all ingredients into a blender or bowl.
- Mix together until well combined and smooth,
- Taste (a little) and add more sweetener for your taste.
- Place into the fridge until ready to eat.
- Serve with berries or coconut yoghurt.
NOTES: You could change the flavour by adding a couple of drops of your favourite food-grade essential oil such, as mint or orange while mixing.
