Dismantled Hamburger

Dismantled Hamburger

Dismantled Hamburger – Gluten, Dairy, Egg, Nut, Refined Sugar and Additive Free

Makes – 6 Patties

The Hamburger is a comfort food classic.  This is our version of how we like to eat a hamburger.

The Patties

  • 1T Chia Seeds and 2T Purified Water (mixed together and set aside to create a gel consistency)
  • 500g beef mince (additive free)
  • 1 small onion (finely diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1t mixed herbs
  • 1T Coconut Oil (or oil of choice)
  1. Mix all ingredients together
  2. Make 6 tennis ball sized patties slightly pressed
  3. Place covered in the fridge for about 1 hour if you have time
  4. Cook well on the BBQ or in a frypan

Salad

  • 150g Mixed Salad Leaves
  • 1 Lebanese Cucumber (sliced and halved)
  • 3 medium tomatoes (cut into wedges)
  • 1/2 carrot (grated)
  • 1/2 avocado diced

Divide salad ingredients onto plate and season with salt and pepper.

Place meat patty on top.

No hamburger is complete without sauce – in my opinion anyway!!  I like to use my homemade sweet chilli sauce or homemade tomato sauce on top,

I’m sure the patties would freeze well to have on hand for those busy nights when you just don’t have time to cook!
