Chocolate Gummies
Gluten, Dairy, Egg, Nut and Sugar Free
Gummies made with gelatin (gelatin is made up of about 99% protein) has been shown to reduce appetite and increase fullness. it’s also able to improve skin, joint and bone health as well as help protect the gut wall from damage. So adding gelatin, such as these tasty gummies, to you diet is a great thing to do for your health.
INGREDIENTS:
- 400ml Coconut Cream (I use Ayam brand)
- 1 3/4 Tbs Raw Cacao Powder
- 4 Tbs Gelatin Powder
- 1Tbs raw honey
- 125ml Coconut Yoghurt
METHOD:
- In a saucepan place the coconut cream, cacao powder, gelatin and honey.
- Allow to sit for a few minutes for the gelatin the bloom (this makes dissolving the gelatin easier)
- On low heat, stir until the gelatin has dissolved, do not allow to boil. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Meanwhile, measure out the coconut yoghurt and place into a pouring jug, mixing in chocolate mixture from the saucepan.
- Pour into silicone mould or lined dish.
- Place into the fridge to set for a couple of hours.
- Remove from mould, or lined dish and slice into desired pieces.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
NOTES:
- I like to use AYAM brand of coconut cream and it doesn’t contain any additives, preservatives or filler
- Here is the brand of gelatin powder I like to use.
