Bliss Bites

I will admit I was a huge chocolate addict, not the good variety, but the one full of refined sugars and other additives.  I started looking around for an alternative that was much healthier and I started making these and it has now been 7 weeks since I’ve felt the need for any chocolate at all.  Please do yourself a favour and give them a go!

Bliss Bites

150g Shredded Coconut

35-40 Pitted Dates (I like Madjool Dates)

2 Handfuls of sultanas

For the Thermomix

Place coconut in thermomix speed 7 for 10 seconds

Add dates blitz on speed 9 for 30 seconds

Add sultanas in for 10 seconds speed 4 on reverse

Pour all mixture into a small silicon slice tray (or tray lined with baking paper) and press down firmly with fingers.

Place in fridge until set and cut into pieces.

Without the Thermomix

Place coconut into a blender until it is desiccated coconut size.

Place dates into blender and blend until well combined.

Empty into a bowl and add saltanas and mix.

Pour all mixture into a small silicon slice tray (or tray lined with baking paper) and press down firmly with fingers.

Place in fridge until set and cut into pieces.

This is such a base recipe.  Please change saltanas to nuts or other dried fruits.  Or roll into balls.  Great for an on the go snack or in school lunch boxes.
