Hello, I’m Sharon.
I thought it was about time that I introduced myself and told you a little bit about what brought me here. I am a wife and mum and to two kids. I am also a qualified functional nutritionist and food coach. I’ve been on this journey of health and wellness for over 12 years, sharing my learnings (my passion) of nutrition and wholistic wellbeing, as well as sharing easy to make recipes made from simple wholefoods that nourish our bodies.
This all came about for me when both of our children experienced health struggles. My son was born with over a dozen severe life-threatening allergies and we were extremely overwhelmed as to what we were going to be able to feed him, let alone nourish him. At the time, there was not a lot of information available and it was a huge challenge for us to overcome. My daughter suffers from severe anxiety and it was through observing the type of the foods she was eating (even the healthy ones!), that a direct link was able to be seen with her anxiety levels. We have lost count of all the different approaches and specialists we’ve tried along the way to try to get to the root causes, rather than dealing with the symptoms. We have discovered that the type of food we consume, lifestyle we choose to live and the chemicals we allow around us, impacts us far more than what we knew.
From my own experience I really understand that when you decide, or if a need arises, for nutritional change to occur, from removing certain foods or food groups from your diet, or simply wanting to improve your current food choices for better health, that the first steps can be overwhelming and at times can make you feel very isolated. I am here to show you through simple recipes, cooking sessions and consultations, that this change does not have to be scary and that there is help available.
